This painting was painted when I first moved into my home on the mountain. circa 1988.
Looking back on my art, my paintings have had similiar themes for a certain period of time then I go onto something else.

This one is about the mountain. I live on a mountain and have been for the last 20 years. Not like this one with snow, but there are waterfalls, 7 of them the first one which is closest is 100 feet and when it rains I can the water rushing down. The mist wanders in through the doors and sometimes I am painting in a cloud.

I have kept this one and it lies flat under my bed. The paintings is about 1 metre in height. (Approx 3 1/2 feet)
I spent so much time on painting the background, when I got to painting the fairy I was just sick of looking at it.

I was once told, that when a painting is finished you are not supposed to touch it again...
Eeeek! who made up that rule.

So when I get some of that precious jewell called time... I will redo the fairy. I painted a similiar painting about the same size with the same fairy on it.
